Important News! Changes to the Englewood Review's Daily Book Morsel Email List

Hello readers,

Thank you for your subscription to the Englewood Review’s Daily Book Morsel email list. I wanted to send a bit of a different email today to tell you about a few changes that will be starting next week (the week of April 18) for this email list. I’m excited about these changes, and I hope that you will be too, and that they will serve you well in the months to come.

First a little bit of history… As its name implies, this list started in October 2012 (almost a full decade ago!) as a daily update on the book news, reviews, and deals that we were posting on The ERB website. A few years ago, we decided to scale back from daily to 3 days/week (Monday/Wednesday/Friday) so as not to overwhelm your inbox (and because of staffing limitations here). Since the beginning of this year, we scaled back our emails once again, to twice a week (Monday and Friday).

Starting next week, you will get one email each week (usually on Thursdays), The ERB Weekly Email Digest, that will be nearly identical to the Daily Book Morsel, featuring the very best book news, reviews, and bargains that you have come to expect from us.

You also will receive one email every other week that will highlight the best books and news articles that church leaders (both clergy and lay leaders) might find helpful as they work to help their congregations thrive amidst all the challenges of our day. The articles in this newsletter called A Deeper Life Together will be drawn from a variety of news outlets, not just The ERB. We are publishing this newsletter as a joint venture between the ERB and Cultivating Communities (CultivatingCommunities.com), a new project oriented toward helping local churches to thrive, and on which I have served on the leadership team since the beginning of 2021.

We realize that not all of you may be interested in this new variant of our newsletter, so if that is you, please click the unsubscribe link below or simply reply to this email with the word UNSCUBSCRIBE in the body of your email. Unsubscribing from the new A Deeper Life Together newsletter in one of the above ways, will not unsubscribe you from our weekly email that will carry on the familiar format of delivering the best book news from the ERB to your inbox. (Although of course, you can unsubscribe from that email at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of one of those emails).

We hope that these coming changes will serve you well, and welcome your thoughts about the format and content of our email newsletters at any point.
